St. James has been blessed to have many skilled artisans that have left a lasting impression on our community.
Natalie Reeves painted a Madonna and Child Icon that is placed near the altar. I didn’t know her except in service at St. James. Natalie was wheel chair bound due to a debilitating illness. She always received communion last, as her motorized wheel chair took most of the center isle. Her favorite hymn at eucharist was: “You are my all in all.”
We spread Natalie’s ashes in a field near the Reeves’ home in Lake City. Jack, her dad, mentioned at the funeral, “God had given them an angel to care for”.
